If you have a bunch of design Christmas cards laying around, do something with them instead of continuing to file them away year after year. One nice idea for fancier design Christmas cards is to make tree ornaments out of them. Use a hole punch to put a hole in the top corner of the card, and thread fancy red, green, silver, gold or white ribbon through. Tie and hang on your tree. You can also make gift tags out of old design Christmas cards. Cut around pictures, leave room to add the "to:" and "from:" options, add some glitter, and use double-sided tape or ribbon to attach to gifts and presents.
If you have plenty of tree ornaments and gift tags, why not take your design Christmas cards and make collages out of them? Purchase a few five inch by seven inch and/or eight inch by ten inch photo frames, and glue pretty pieces of design Christmas cards to the matting. Put the frame together, mount on the wall and use a gold or silver calligraphy pen to add the year to the frame.
